This tween is my spirit animal

Pretty much she’s me (or what I wanted to be), except Miss A is way cooler than I was at this age.

All of my favorite things are in this tween’s session. We started in her room where she showed me her ukulele (I’ve always wanted to play one), then we hung out in her treehouse and played with her dog. And THEN she turned into a softball star (I did manage that as a kid minus the star part). Besides melting in the God-awful humidity and being eaten alive by mosquitos….it was all worth it.

Seriously, Miss A had no problem being in front of the camera during this session. As a local theater kid, I barely had to do anything but click the shutter. Plus she’s just adorable. I think she was in the middle of rehearsal for an upcoming show at the time, so I was hoping to get a song, but I didn’t want to press my luck. 🙂  I mean I DID get a ukulele performance. And that was totally cool.

I’m sure you can tell, but I get a ton out of these sessions too

I love meeting new people, and since I have boys I especially love hanging out with the girls. It makes me feel like one of the guys gals since my house is chock full o’boys (including the cat). 😉

Anyway, I loved working with this tween and was super happy to do this for her as the only girl sandwiched between two brothers. It’s always cool to shoot for families like this as it’s something a little extra special for the girls. It’s okay to get special treatment sometimes, right?
