Hey, I’m Tracy, your photographer based in Greensboro, North Carolina. Welcome to my little slice of the internet, where personality matters and perfection is overrated.

I’m equal parts soft-hearted and detail-obsessed. Serious about my craft, but not about myself. I spent nearly 20 years in public relations helping people and stories stand out, only to realize I was meant to do that work behind a camera.
Turns out, this has always been the point.

I’m sentimental, fueled by color, coffee, and good energy, usually covered in a little cat hair, and always ready with a favorite true-crime recommendation. I believe photography should feel guided, thoughtful, and fun...never awkward and absolutely never copy-and-paste.

Feathers

I’ve always been drawn to birds. The way they move quickly through a moment, here and gone before you realize it. Time is like that. People, too.

But here’s the secret: My maiden name, Vandervalk, means “of the falcon” in Dutch. So the feathers aren’t just pretty; they’re personal. A reminder of transition, identity, and capturing something fleeting before it changes.

Which, honestly, is exactly what a good portrait does.
