Yes, you can bring your pet pig to your senior session!

I was excited for this urban shoot from my first meeting with Cheyenne and her mom. They were so easy to talk to and our meeting felt more like hanging out with friends than getting down to business. It was fun exchanging ideas and getting to know them a little better…until Cheyenne dropped the bomb on me. In our discussion about hobbies and such, she mentioned she had a Pet Pig. Named Rosey. Who was 100 pounds. And then her mom casually said, “We could put her in a pink tutu.” YES! When can we shoot? Sadly, mother nature had other plans for us and we were foiled twice by wind and rain and snow before we finally got our perfect spring evening.
So, here’s the interesting thing about animals and “plans.” They don’t always match up, and so you just gotta go with it. Especially when it produces these great expressions. The rest of this session was pure magic. Cheyenne was kind enough to humor me when I handed her two paint cans and told her to act like she just finished her masterpiece. I’m buying what she’s selling y’all….one of my favorites from the whole session to boot.
Cheyenne was so lovely in front of the camera. Such a beautiful soft expression and great smile. I’m excited to hear what comes next for her too, which, to start, includes Army basic training. (This is the last hurrah for her purple hair before her enlistment, so I was thrilled to memorialize her amazing look.) Thanks for picking me to do your seniors. It was a blast! xoxoxoxo
