A Tween, Her Stuffed Animals & A Trampoline – An Inside/Outside Session

I love working with tweens. With one tween of my own and one newly minted teen, it’s amazing to see this age up close. When I first met Taylor, she was quiet and told me me she wasn’t good at getting her picture taken. By the end of the session, she was giving me ideas for shots and was easy breezy in front of the camera.

I’ve been doing The Inside/Outside Project now for three years now, and each session is different. What’s typically the same though, is how each tween starts out quiet and shy, and by the end are directing traffic. And that’s kinda the evolution I’m trying to show anyway. How those tween years start out unsure, but slowly morph into a more confident mindset. At least that’s what we as parents hope is happening.

Taylor is super duper sweet. She loves to read, draw and hang out with her animals (those living and stuffed). Her room is amazingly colorful and reflects her bright personality. I met the fish and the dog and made an attempt to bounce on her trampoline. That part didn’t go so well so I just stuck to taking pictures.

Take a peek at our session below. Pretty sure you’ll agree that she’s not so bad at getting her photo taken. xo
